The American Virtuoso: Paul Barnes (OMM0036)
Amerian pianist Paul Barnes' third release for Orange Mountain Music includes a premier recording of his own solo transcription of Philip Glass' Piano Concerto No 2, After Lewis and Clark. Barnes conveys the driving energy of the work with a deft fluidity. The album includes Barber's Piano Sonata and two short pieces by Joan Tower.

Philip Glass: The Concerto Project Vol III (OMM0042)
The penultimate release in a series of four albums, this disc includes two concertos from the early 1990s; the Concerto Grosso and Concerto for Saxophone Quartet.

A must for Glass fans.

Songs and Poems for Solo Cello (OMM0037)
Cellist Wendy Sutter gives a loving recital of a work composed for her by boyfriend, Philip Glass. The seven movement piece is at turns contemplative and intense, but always engaging.
